The attractive matte gray and stainless steel blender arrived double boxed in its own outer and inner boxes. Inside, the parts were individually wrapped and protected by molded pulp inserts. Included were the blender base/motor, a 32-ounce clear blending cup, two 24-ounce clear blending cups, a set of blades, and two black screw-on flip-top lids. Also inside a clever compartment on the inner upper lid was a set of clearly written instructions, product registration card, and recipe book.
The blender has a small footprint and is simple to operate. Simply add ice, liquid, nuts, fruits or veggies to the cup and screw the black blender blade onto any one of the cups then place it onto the base unit, pushing down and turning slightly to lock the blade in place. If you fail to lock the blade, the unit will not operate.
You will notice there are no visible power buttons. Once you plug in the long AC power cord and lock the blades in place, two white buttons will magically appear on the front of the base unit. The upper solid round button delivers a 30-second continuous blend, while the lower dashed round button pulses. The length of time you press it controls the blades spinning. There are four suction cups on the feet of the base unit that stick in place very effectively.
Cleanup is a breeze. Except for the base/motor unit, everything else can be washed in warm, soapy water or the dishwasher. The 1200-watt motor has plenty of power and works quickly and reasonably quietly. It crushes ice and makes great smoothies. The manufacturer provides a one-year warranty on the blender and five-year warranty on the blades. The Nutribullet Ultra NB-50500 blender would make a great housewarming or wedding gift and I award it 5 stars along with my enthusiastic recommendation." - Amazon Customer Review
